Question for the few of you I see parked frequently at a "secret" but visible location at Tomales-
Is that public land, or do you have permission from whoever owns the adjacent property (who I know personally)?

Not sure what spot your referencing but the one I've gone too for 40+ yrs it's never been a problem.  Don't know the owner of the dairy but they've never said anything either.

Can’t read your mind, but you should be able to get some basic property lines via internet search.
Basically only 3 things happening here.

1.  You live there on the property or know the owner of the property and can legally park there.
2.  You park on private property and the owner could legally have you towed.
3.  You park on public land, which is closed in Marin at the moment except to residents, and could get cited.

I can only speak for myself but the “secret” spot I’ve been launching from is private land.  I do know the owner and I spoke with him yesterday, no issues with him.

Thanks for the info-I’ll be sure to ask the landowners next time I see them

Yes, according to the latest Order that went out 5/29/20.
Gonna take a few days off just to hit Tomales a few times if it’s true.

For my thesis I observed quail hunters. Ineveitably they swore me to secrecy about the locations they hunted.
I was always amused how they kept lying to each other for 40 years about the "secret" spot, somehow ignoring the fresh shells and tracks on the ground everytime they went out.  The local guides continued to take their guests to the same locations and shrugged...So my "secret" spot is probably the same as yours. I haven't spoken to the landowner, but I've spoken to their lawyer, and I am hugely grateful that they have allowed us to use the site all these years.  I usually try to clean  up a little trash and make sure they don't regret letting us use it. Hope you do the same....
