Anyone ever launch here?  I was talking to a boater in the ARW parking lot who said some people were launching here and doing well with halibut.

Looks like parking is the tough part although you can park on Bridgeway right in front of the ramp just have to pay meter and be out by noon which sounds doable.

When I drove by it three weekends ago, it was fenced off. No clue if it's been opened since.

I'd love to fish the area if given the chance.

Did you ever check it out? I'm curious now, hoping to fish Angel Island tomorrow and trying to figure out if there's even a place to launch. If not, I'll be hitting ARW if anyone wants to join

I didn't but I know the dinghy ramp is open as my friend used it for that purpose so you should be good to go.  Just need to move your car by noon if you park on the street right there.

Drove by Dunphy Park remodel today and you used to be able to park in the dirt for free all day and launch at the beach.  Two hour limit free parking now and whole park is still gated off so cannot access.  The concrete ramp at turney has paid parking all day I thought.  What's the point of paying?  You can only pay until 12?

Never crossed Raccoon Straights myself but I've definitely heard of it, a couple of old timers put me on to Angel Island, rumor has it there's some halibut on the west side of it  :smt044

Thanks for the recon gentlemen, I'm already planning to fish ARW in the AM, but I'll probably plan a trip to AI for Thursday or Friday if anybody wants to join in on the madness.

Have fun - pay attention to your tides. It's not for the faint of heart or novice.

Cheers,
Brad
