Anyone owns the 2020 PAs 14 and 12, please chime in. I am torn between the two. Also, if you had an experience where you had a shorter kayak and end up selling it for a longer kayak (Vice-versa) please chime in as well.

I am 506/165 and if the 360 drive came with the 2020 outback, I would have bought it months ago. I now have enough money to buy either the PA 12 or the PA 14 ($200 different in price).

I would definitely be launching in the surf. It will be carried in the back of my pickup truck.

So, Which one?

Thanks in advance.

I dont own the new one but i had the 2014 pa 14 and a 2015 pa 12.the 12 is just as stable as the 14.the 14 is way harder to launch and muscle around, but has more room.i perfer the 12 over the 14 im around your build.even with a trailer the 14 is harder to load and unload.if you fish with a buddy then it wont be an issue.id go demo them both to see what would fit your needs.remember the pa's are very heavy and if you take it out alot and you drag it over cemet or rocks youll wear out the bottom
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

Yeah. I will be going out with a friend for sure. the buddy system is a must for me especially out in salt water. I got a truck and got the BooneDox Landing Gear with the upgraded sand wheels.  Should help a lot with launching.
