“CORVID-19” HAHAHA
Last week a crow picked off one of the sucker fish in the Coastal Stream Exhibit
I gave it the same diagnosis

Thanks Johnny.  Somebody got it!

Oh, I think plenty of folks understand your corvidae referenc. They just don't encourage punning.

Remember: Use a pun, go to jail. It's the law...

Great to have you back in the mix, Scott.  And please go ahead and pun bro.  You know you wanna.

Gopher it, dude!

The herons and egrets are targeting voles, mice and to a lesser extent, shrews, not gophers.  A field like that in the late spring should have hundreds, if not thousands of them little buggers per acre.

I'd choke them out too before eating them.  They are quick, can turn on a dime and bite through a thumbnail quicker than I can let go   :smt044

Heroin kills.

That’s all I see when I see the title of this thread, and I’m mildly disappointed that the video isn’t of some junkie gopher prostituting itself and jonesing for its next fix.

I missed the music score, though.

I got a GopherHawk for Christmas (my family has a sense of humor, yet is also practical). I found a new run in some recently cleared yard space so I was going to try the hawk out Sunday

However, as I was letting the dog take a leak Saturday evening before deploying the trap, I came across our organic pest control unit, crouched over a fresh gopher hole, juuuust finishing up her evening meal. Smart cat, she left the gutpile for me to clean up. Cats: so cute, yet so evil.

I'm sure I'll have a chance to try the GopherHawk soon enough though.

Haha - organic pest control unit.  :smt003

Good luck with the trap. Would be interested to know your experience with it...another tool for the extermination toolbox.

Wow. Now I can't help but hear the subject line in a newsy, docu-drama voice. Dirty needles, collapsed veins, and too strung out even to burrow holes in the softest and most lush of golf greens. Shame. Such potential, such a waste. Is there any escape from the deadly clutch of blue tar heron?
