In the a.m. I drove up to Stinson which was blown out, waited a bit to see if it'd lay down, drove down to LM and scouted around a bit for salmon

as jselli said the bait's there but no salmon yet although somebody on the beach said they saw a boat bring in a couple last week from inside LM cove

Out just past the bait the jellies started and 2-3 miles out and north almost parallel to Montara it was still jellie city The good news it's not the big brown ones that leave stinger all over the gear

I was thinking about going out another 3 or 4 miles to see what things looked like but the motor was petering out so I called it quits and went in to the big rocks south of devil's slide and picked up a couple of blacks and headed back

Coming back I passed one of the LM skiff guys who had a hitch-hiker ling that looked 25-30lbs and another guy had maybe a 12 lber

Definitely worth getting out if you're looking for rockies The blacks were thick in the places I stopped and apparently the lings are in

I'll try to post pictures of the pretty weather later  Nice afternoon paddle

Nothing hot but from coastside and other sources a few people in the right place at the right time are getting some nice fish

Yesterday close inside from Muir to rocky pt looked doable but otherwise it was whitecap city  Today sounded like it was worse and I'm strictly into low energy fishing at the moment

Excellent pics.  I love the first shot - soft and silky, way out in 'Federal waters'.  You got an odometer on your yak?   :smt001

Nice weather but no salmon

One of these days I want to get out to the shipping lanes The yak's moving a little slow for it these days

That looked like a pretty tasty fish you got at trinidad

Nice salmon off ten mile,in front of Abbotts Lagoon 50ft of water out to 150 ft. But that shore break is a mutha, tempting though. I'll have to take a look, or wait and see if they come in farther north.

You can always swim your yak through the break

Sometimes coming in you don't have any choice so it's a good thing to get used to You just need a long line and keep control of the thing, don't get tangled up with it in the white stuff

What's the access to ten mile like?

Pt. Reyes beach North and South large Parking lots. Access, roll over dune onto beach. I haven't been there in years though, except by boat.
Remember Jonathan, he launched clean last year I believe. I think he caught a fish too, then got sand in his ear coming in.
  Jonathan--you out there?
