Mike,- it means trust your judgment but trust mine more
Thanks for clearing that up for me Hawk :smt012

I think Mooch brings up a good point that most of us are not Pro's and what may be safe for you may not be for the rest of us.
I have a Ghetto bar ala Josh and it works great but if the landings going to be questionable I stash it in my hatch, I don't want that puppy hitting me in the head.

A PRO isn't just someone who gets paid to do this stuff and makes everything look easy. A seasoned pro understands safety from the point of view of having had lots of beginners entrusting their lives to them. What's safe for the pro has to be safe for everyone because in a small industry they are the standard bearers. They are the supreme court of kayak safety and I am chief justice Hawk

I know what you are talking about mickfish just take a look at my kayak and say it has allot of stuff
on it but when it is time to do a landing I can stash all of my gear under the hatches poles
included so when I come in it's just me and a seat and paddle  :smt004

Good to know you stand behind Products you sell and would never sell anything to a noob that might get them in trouble.
It's also good to know that we got somebody to sue when when a mishap occurs. :smt003
Lawyers love Pro's that make blanket statements. :smt007

Not a pro. Just a man who enjoys a trapped audience.
I enjoy a clean deck and a lowtech work space so Id struggle with this thing, but I can see a functional time/place.
I like the legal nightlight idea and flatwater nightfishing possibilites with maybe a mounted spotlight or camera are nice thoughts, but still it seems to be alot in front of me.
I would be curious if you feel like the center of gravity was higher esp adding 2 rods up there?
This on a boat like the T160 might lower the rollover threshold. maybe?
It would seem that it might be challenging to get the boat back over if you had an incident.
It doesnt look "unsafe" at all, just requiring some additional awareness and maybe alot more if in moving water.
All of my speculations are just from looking at pictures and Im weird about weight and keeping it low.
everybody swims
