Hi. My name is Michael, and I live and work in Elk Grove but go to school down in Stockton during the week. I grew up doing casual fishing with friends/family, but am a relatively new Hobie owner and am looking to get into some fish.
I don't personally know anyone that kayak fishes so I'm looking to link up with some people down the line for ocean, since I'm hesitant to go out alone at sea.

On another note, I had a yellow revolution 13' that was stolen off the top of my car in front of my girlfriend's house in STK. I just got a replacement, but this is a PSA for all south delta yak owners to be careful about your gear. It has a big 805 sticker on the front hatch, along with a small blue breast cancer sticker.

Many fishermen spend their lives chasing fish, only to realize that it was themselves that they were chasing.

The "Salty" in my handle refers to my attitude, not the waters I fish

Welcome Michael :smt006

Sorry to hear about your kayak. I put a distinct mark on all my kayak to identify mine. Along with an owner sticker I got from a local kayak shop for free. Hope your kayak turns up for you. Good luck.

On second thought,  the surf report is showing 5-7ft waves.
I'll stay around here.

Sorry about the thieves man,,  I'll keep an eye out.
A great way to alert you to anyone messing with your kayak is this.   Harbor Freight driveway  alarm..    Put the motion sensor inside the kayak.    any movement will trigger the alarm.     Feel free to put a bullet in the prick. I'll swear he came at you with a knife.

Thanks for the advice, guys. I already got myself a replacement that was actually an upgrade considering the state of my previous rudder. When my schedule clears up, I'm looking to hit lakes in the motherlode area until the striper run starts, and then on to rockfish when that opens. Hope to see some of you guys out there.
