Here's a link to the schematics for that reel.

Looks like there is indeed a rod clamp listed as an accessory.  Not sure if that means it comes with the reel or not.

http://www.alltackle.com/shimano_trinidad.htm

The above link sells the trinidad and says that the rod clamp is included except for the trinidad 16.  Not sure if that is helpful or not.

My ? is why do you need a rod clamp?  The 14 has a lot smaller drag surface than the 16 to 30's.  I think if you are not going of big tuna.  The reel seat clamp should do just fine.  Jus my 2 cents.

Maybe it goes on a seatless surf rod, or jig stick. Thats how I wrapped my Calstar jigsticks. :smt002

Thanks, Mark forgot about that problem.  I have a few of those for throwing Iron at Wahoo.  Haven't caught a Wahoo in 3 yrs.  So, I sort of forgot about that.

What fishshim said....  I just picked up a sweeeet Terramar rod. No reel seat. Have to use the clamp on the Penn GS535.

The Penn plastic clamps are not my favorite. I would up grade or put some shrink tubing or wrap it with tape.

Yeah, it's for a yellowtail jig stick with no reel seat. The Calcutta 80 Heavy. It's a light jig stick so I want a light small reel. It's for chunking surface iron.

I would call Hi's Tackle or some other shop that stocks the 14. If they don't come with a clamp they should have one in stock. They are only little plastic clamps, the after market aluminum ones are better. The plastic ones should  be checked for tightness after it's been sitting in the sun on deck. No one wants a swiveling reel with a 60# Hoo on the end :smt002.
