great report! I can see you are becoming a mex old hand these days!

which was more fun to catch, those whopper snappers or the tuna?

if jelly enjoys the surfing, a road trip to baja in the winter is tough to beat.

the surf spots are not really known fishing spots but you'd be surprised what
can be caught. I caught a rooster off the beach on the pacific side, saw a
snook caught, a he-uge corvina (the kind with the teeth, is that corbina?),
and big halibut from the beach. and it always feels like you are exploring.

gotta figure a way to take my boys down there in the winter!

Great post!  Being able to combine the family trip with the fishing trip is something I'm going to have to figure out!

J-it was Jelly's first go at surfing, but he loved it.  He was up and surfing in 10 minutes.  Apparently all of the skating is transferable!  The snapper were probably cooler since they were on much lighter tackle.

Don-the food prices vary WILDLY.  On the Bucerias waterfront an basic lunch could easily have cost us $50 at a gringo restaurant.  Three blocks off the water in the barrio where the locals shop it was WAY less, but most folks don't speak ingles and they won't be serving it in an american way.  We all tried to go to the hole in the wall be humble and order and converse in espanol.  Even if you suck at spanish you can usually hack it out and you are rewarded for your efforts with local prices and appreciative smiles.

Amen on hanging with the locals,  my kind of way,  time was short on this last trip and I did not want to take any chances,

except for Rancho, We went Top of the Mart..$$$$$$... Ouch!!!!  Next time....My way :camp.....

Kind of Nuts about that Birth Certificate thing,  we did not find out we needed them till the night before, about 7 hours before our flight!!!!  Devinne intervention just made 3 birth Certificate appear that we did not know we had,  Don't know what would have happened if those just did not show up...

  Again nice Vacation and Report...

Watch out though.. I've been out 4x since Mexico and only have 3 small Rockfish to show for it!!!

  I want to go back!!!!!.........Danglin

OH SH*t!

I felt like i was just in Mexico. I fished on the yellow kayaks, the boat and saw a lot of nice fish with a real cool family.... I turned around from the computer and stared at the couch and the wall and was slowly brought back down to reality....

Thanks for sharing, I need some time off from work in the worst way.

great photos!
