Negro bar skunk

Tried hitting upper L Notoma for the elusive trout, nice launch and beautiful cold water, paddled up to the prison trolling small rapalas, spoons for nada, then drifted back using crawlers and jigging castmasters in the likely spots. Wasnt too much of a flow, and deep and narrow. Read the post of the divers going but saw no NCKAers or was able to raise anyone on the vhf but we had a blast.

That lake is hard to fish. I've yet to fish it... mostly due to everybody that I've talked to about it, has told me not to waste my time there. I've seen lots of boaters trolling around with down riggers though... so, there must be something in there. I think that the state record for rainbows came out of there a while back too. That lake is pretty deep too... I'll have to give it a go sooner or later since Folsom hasn't been kicking anything out for me...

Yup, Lake Natoma can be tough. Me and the boys are 0-2 out there. But we did see a small PB catch little trout while trolling during one of our trips.

That canyon and all thoose big rocks and cold water look so "trouty" that it's hard not to think there's some good ones in there.

Sorry guys, I would have posted a hookup but didnt know till the last minute. I definitaly would go again, Its 5 min from Anitas folks house. I was going to try drifting a sucker but got skunked by them too.
