Wunderground is calling for 20-30mph winds, but the iwindsurf site says varied winds from 2-8 knots on Sunday. I'm going to be optimistic and hope that iwindsurf is corect, since it's more local.

That being said - Is anybody planning on huntin' rockies this Sunday out of Ft. Ross, Stillwater, or Ocean Cove? I need to get out and de-virginize my new rockfish set-up!

If no takers I'll end up in the bay or Lake mendo, probably.

I'm looking to head up that way on Saturday AM.  Not sure exactly where... either Fort Ross or Anchor Bay depending on how the water looks.

I'll be sure to post a report on the conditions Sat night.

I'd love to go, but my wife has chosen this the hottest weekend so far of the summer for us to visit her family in Clovis (near Fresno).  I'm going to be wishing I was on the coast fishing rather than the 110ºF temps of the Central Valley.

However, I think Jim ("InSeine") was looking to go fishing this weekend. I'll let him know.

Good luck,

You pre-fish tourney guys kill me.  :smt044 Good luck.
It will be a lot better on the coast than inland. Be careful of the wind.

Dustin:

I might go if I get all my chores done for next weekend.  FYI, the water temps have been 9-10 degrees C which is about 50 degrees fahrenheit.  Fish don't bite when it's this cold.  Also, the swell forcast for next weekend is looking promising.  Let's hope the wind dies down.

Well, I'm out. Gonna take an oppurtunity to polish up on my G.A.F., for a change. She never has a problem with me fishing all the time, but I just thought it would be nice to spend the day together.

See you all next Saturday.

I took a drive out this morning and turned back.  No wind but the water was pretty sloppy... must be some major offshore wind pushing in the slop.  I figured I'd preserve WAF rather than launch for a very limited amount of fishing.

I hope i am wrong. NOAA calls for 20-30mph winds and a small craft advisory thru sun night.

Dustin I went out of Bodega today nice on the inside but nasty past the rock, that reef was breaking all the way across. Wind really picked up at 11 blowing hard not much swell but waves from a couple directions, the wind was blowing hard off the beach, made for a very long paddle back.
