GoPro: Best place to buy?

Anyone have an ear to the ground on the current, best deal on a new (or newer) GoPro?

I believe GoPro is still offering a $100 rebate with the trade-in of any digital camera

I got my 6 on craigslist for $200, pretty much brand new. When I was looking for that one a few screaming deals popped up, some still sealed in the original box. Or if you want to get a 7, you can have my 4 back and use it for the trade-in.

I heard the gopro 8 is going to have some really nice features. I'm really looking for them to fix the mic issue for the water. I think it is suppose to come out sometime in Sept. or Oct. Hopefully they up their game and get those issues fixed.
Once the new cameras are out the old camera prices should drop.

You are always a ridiculously philanthropic friend, so thank you for the offer. I still have my 2 flooded Hero 3s. The rebate says it counts event if the trade in is damaged.

I am still happy with using the Hero 3+ silver. Rbark also gifted me his 3+ black and I also bought another 3+ black on Ebay fo about $85. I stick with the Hero 3+ units because I have two Limefuel batteries (no longer made) that give me up to 8 hours of shoot time. Units not as advanced in features as the current models but I get my use out of them.

I used both my Hero 3s for years... until this year when I flooded one, thought it was the back cover gasket, cleaned it, put the other gopro in, flooded it... turned out it was the front lens seal that failed... so now that I have the opportunity, I'd like to get the 7 with the epic stabilization.

It also has better stabilization.

The deal looks great however you can get a 7 Black for about $320 on amazon, $299 from Go Pro. Not that much difference. You can send in any digital camera or Go Pro to get the deal. I have been waiting to get one since my 3 burns batteries and gets smokin hot. I might just send in one of my old Canon cameras, but since they may release a new camera in a couple of months I just may wait??
