ARW overhaul 01 - 22 - 20 update

Update 11-29-19. Not much to report this week as it is a short workweek. Electrical power cables installed. Roadway directly above ramp has been graded. Grading work around bathrooms in progress. No pictures this week.

12-06-19 update. Not much to report this week due to weather. Ramp reinstalled to float on school side. Minor grading work above ramp. No one working today??

Update 12-13-19. The endcaps for the parking are being clean up cut for paving — meaning no more endcaps, but the parking is supposed to be stripped.  The shower will be pushbutton timed, so you will be able to push the button and walk thru yourself and kayak for a quick rinse.  The weather has delayed it a little but they are still scheduled for mid-January being done. 

Looks nice.  I'm excited for the spring Halibut season!

Update 12-20-19. Not much completed this week due to weather. The cement around the bathrooms and sidewalk in front was poured.

Update 12 - 27 - 19. Does not look like any work completed this week due to weather and holiday.

01-03-20 update. Grading being done on area above ramp in preparation of putting down asphalt (next week early), will check Tuesday. Fish cleaning station in place (not unwrapped yet).

I remember years ago with all the liter and graffiti, and general scuz, I figured they'd just close it off.

Happy to see it turning into a first rate launch spot. 

Are they or have they dredged so that you launch a PB at low tide?

Hope to give it try in the spring, yak only no boat for me anymore.

No dredging of a channel👎👎. The only dredging was to extend the ramp about 20 some feet further, so when the mud fills back it will be the same as before.

That's such an awesome way to make ARW a great destination.

I was already excited for this spring to try out ARW for the first time reading this thread the excitement is getting almost too much.

Thanks for the info, I wonder if after spending all the money to upgrade the ramp and area, they might do some dredging later on, I haven't been there in years but the ramp used to be useless on a normal low tide, but if they extended it..............

I was there the other day. It looks like the project is scheduled to be completed by January 2020. The new bathroom is a great improvement. The old fencing along the rock wall has been dismantled, and the entire place looks really clean. Looking forward to seeing it when it is all done.

Is it springtime yet ? 

Thanks for the updates. Definitely have to visit it this year. Not many places have a fish cleaning station anymore. So that is a nice touch
