Update—The old bathrooms are gone, the portapotties have been moved to the other side of the handicap parking, the floats are in the parking lot. They are doing something to the rock and cement area alongside the high school fence (widen the ramp?).

9-13-19 update:  the work that is happening alongside the high school fence is so they can put in a ramp which would go down to a float (non powered?).  They are not widening that side.  On the near side they are widening only 2 feet and will be replacing the pilings. The end caps for the parking lanes have had their dirt removed. They have started digging out the mud at the end of the ramp for its extension.

9-27-19 update. They are in the process of building the cement shore ends of the two ramp floats. The old pilings are removed. They are also digging out the mud for the eventual extending of the ramp.

Wish there is a way to make the ramp less of a slippery Alpine experience.

Hopefully it will be less of a slope down to the water, that would help. Having the left side float for nonpowered could mean that you stay high and dry till you slip the yak off the float into the water — returning to land ???🤔🤔

Update 10-4-19. The concrete forms have been poured and smoothed. They have dredged out about 50 feet past the end of the old ramp, next week is when they install the new cement slabs for extending the ramp.

Unfortunately they are not dredging a channel so you will still have very little water at low tides, high tides or close to that should be no problem.
