Uni2 uni Palomar on the swivels. I’ve never had an uni2 uni fail. 8 wraps on the braid. Five on the mono or floro topshot. Cheers.

FG knots are super strong, elegant and can be casted through your guides!
I used to do uni to uni & 2x Albert but Yeah switch to FG & definitely the best!!!

I've been using the FG knot for a few years now and like it. Wouldn't want to tie it on the water though.

Cheers,
Brad

I use Uni to Uni but it sure gets caught on the rod guides if your casting with a short leader.

I’m a noob but the Yucatán knot is easy/fast for me to tie on the water when my hands are cold.  It’s supposed to be super strong braid to mono. https://www.netknots.com/fishing_knots/yucatan-knot

I like the simplicity of this knot!  Not sure if it will go through the guides smoothly.

I really like how simple that knot is. Looks like it really shouldn't be any thicker than uni's.

The fg knot only has 3 lines running through it at the thickest point of the knot. So the fg will probably run through guides easier.

But this knot seems to require a doubled main line that is tied using a bimini twist.  Not the easiest knot to tie.

I Wish I could find 2 videos in a row showing the same way to tie an FG knot.

I use a uni 2 uni now, have had it tested quite a few times, I do cringe every time it goes through the guide tip however.  would an fg slide through a bit easier without that feeling/sound of a uni to uni?
