As a group, we got 5 kings total (4 wild) ...

It is not possible to tell if the fish are wild or not.  California only clips 17% or so of chinook salmon.  They really ought to mark 100% of hatchery fish, but they do not.

Congrats on the fish and the fun times in the cove!

Thanks for the info.  I was unaware they didnt clip them all.   :smt006

Way to get some salmon, but none those fish in the pics are 15lbs or bigger :smt044
Funny story, I had just reeled in fast to film Greg, and my chovie was floating on the surface.  Right at the end of this video, the freak out is me reacting to a big silver taking my chovie on the surface and running with it.  I thought it was a king and fought it, netted him, and released him hopefully unharmed.
Dont net it if it's a silver

The shark was either a thresher or soupfin.

Thanks, but no need to emoji-laugh...  :smt006  As I mentioned in the report, we didnt weigh them... didnt care, and we have only been enjoying this wonderful sport for three years now and are definitely still into learning new things, but immediate recognition of a silver in the water is not natural for us yet, as Im sure it is for you.  I thought it was a king, so I netted it, ID'ed it, then released it.
