Good to have friends that melt metal... :smt006
That’s right Eddie, and my NWKA and NCKA brother are considered friends until they do something to compromise that and so far it’s only one that has and I never actually met him.  :smt008
Well, above all I  hope you get out and collect some hogs for that service...you know...you reap what you sow type stuff...good 4th to ya'... :smt006

Hitting the big blue tomorrow for some primal blood on the deck therapy. In the middle of busting out a custom kayak trailer for a guy up here also, got his frame built today, was working on that when crash paid a visit.

That’s a really bad first point of failure. MJo will get you fixed up adequately. You owe him a good cigar, Doug.
Except he don’t smoke cigars  :smt002

Well then, Doug could smoke it in your honor. It’s a thing. And of course as everyone always says: “ It’s the thought that counts.”

On it.

Why not put the trailer jack on the frame instead of the tongue?
It would relieve the constant stress on the flex point.
I know it's under stress when towing, but it doesn't have to be all the time.

It needs room to pivot up..  ( my guess )

Thanks for saving that Raptor from certain death ...  there's so few left on the west coast now.   :smt003

Unless your Gumby or Stretch Armstrong it’s really difficult to put a trailer on the ball from that far back. Jack stands under the front when parked work to relieve that stress.

How long is the tube from the A frame to the coupler? As you can see crashes is two Jack Russel Terriers long, that’s why we put it half way back. He wanted a longer tongue “fir some reason”  :smt044

After cleaning up my mess today from the previous build I figured I’d show you the China part failure from Doug’s trailer..... right before I threw it in the scrap pile.
