I got done working early and suddenly got the urge to go froggin'. Good thing I followed up on my urge cuz they were active! I put in at Rodman slough because it was too windy everywhere else. I went way back where I don't think boats go anymore due to the weeds growing like crazy. I fished the last 3 hours of light and caught around ten fish, 2 of them 4.5 lbers. Missed just as many. A couple of times I saw the fish waking towards the frog then... BAM! Another fish hit the frog a second after the frog landed.
Way cool. It's been a great year here and it's not over yet.
Fish were hitting with the sun shining but it definitely got better with shadows on the water. I should have also worn long sleeves because it's a good year for the skeeters too.
