Anyone know the measurement of that box? I thought I read somewhere that it was 15"x8" ? The hole in my P-15 is about 15"x6 1/4" at the top +/-   I am hoping the 15"x8" was a mis-print.
I would like to get 1 but haven't found 1 local.

That white or orange Plano box fits some Prowlers perfectly, but it's more than a tight fit for others.  I haven't tried it yet, but if I get one that doesn't fit, I'll probably use a heat gun on the box to get it conform to the slot in the tankwell.

My Plano box showed up today and it fit great :smt003 I think mooch's idea of rod holders on the box will work great. I will be trying it.

Hey Jack - I decided to do a little "modification" with my new plano box / rod holder. I "angled" the two holders on the outside to make room for my net (on the center holder) I did this because my net was always hanging up with my rod guides when I had the holders all on the vertical position.

Anyway, I'm glad the plano box fits your P15. Have fun modifying and if you have any questions - feel free to ask :smt002

One thing I really like about the P15's is that you have a lot of space to "play" with   :smt045

Joel, what did you use to seal the bottom of the rod holders?

Vince - I just drilled two holes on the bottom end of the pvc pipe - directly across from each other and then I just tied a plastic tie down across. Hope that made sense  :smt001

(I'll fix the white plano box / rod holder that I sold you :smt002)

Mooch,

Those new holders look a bit shallow.  You comfortable with it that way?  Also, do they get in the way of the in-deck rod holders?

Allen - good observation! If I had longer pipes, I would have gone a little longer. For now, this will work - I can always modify the lenght later on. Everything is secure via plastic tie downs so I can easily cut 'em off and re-tie again.

And - no - they don't get in the way of the in-deck / flush mount rod holders.

Hey Mooch,
Thanks for the advise on the outside rod holders.
I have mine all set-up just not mounted yet. I also angled my outside rod holders and I am trying to put 2 holders in between for a total of 4. It looks like you have the small tray in the lid towards the back-Is that just because of the way you wanted the lid to open or ?

Or take the "end caps" back off for now.  Just trying to make sure your donations to the sea gods don't continue.

I built my tubes about a 1/2" from the bottom of the tank well then I put pins in the bottom of the tubes to keep the rods off the boat. The bottom is open so water will run through. My rod tubes are about 13" total.
