You will not end up on highway 1 at any point on your trip from Sacramento unless you intentionally go out of your way for some reason.

Saturday is a full moon, so we should have good light Friday night, early Saturday.  With the window of opportunity at 3 am to 9 am is it legal to fish at night?

Yep, that's really taking the scenic route! 

Thursday looks to be a doozy, everybody!  Strong wind and heavy rain will likely keep everyone off the water for most if not all of that day.

Friday on the other hand...  it looks very good!

Saturday - I hope we can get OTW, but it looks iffy for offshore trolling.   We may be just competing near the moorings and toward the Bell.  I'll make a call that morning about any restrictions that I may need to impose on the fishing area.

Sunday into Monday looks pretty good.

We will figure a way to compete and we will execute the tourney activities in any case, so bring your rain gear and get ready to enjoy the challenge!

Thanks for maintaining that safety is a top priority. Stewarding a group this large of varying ability OTW is a huge undertaking. Thank you so much for putting on this event and making our yearly shelter cove run one of our favorite trips of the year.

lol I’m seriously considering leaving the kayak at home and just coming to hang out.  Friday looks good, but I’ll be on Humboldt Bay that day.

Not this weekend.  On the wagon with some health issues, drinking is not in the cards.  Hopefully we can find a dry place to have a cigar or 3 tho.
