World Record caught on Kayak

A world kayak record Dogtooth Tuna was caught back home on Guam. 170lbs! 

What a rush...seemed like a slow pitch jigging nod...

Caught it 700’ deep! No wonder it took him hours to bring it to the surface.

This is one fit dude, landed a 170 lber solo.

This.  and I would find out after that the battery died in my go pro before the fish was even on.

I can't imagine dragging 170 lbs into my kayak.  Even though it's only a few inches up, and the friction is much less because it's slimy, it seems the hardest part would be balancing the yak with the fish half in and half out, but it wouldn't have been easy with it in his lap.  He probably had close to a 350 lb load counting his own weight and his gear.
