I'll be heading up saturday at noon for an evening of fishing and camping and then fishing most of the day sunday. Hope some of you can make it. I have a yak trailer if anyone wants to car pool up. Also have a couple of spare yaks if you need to borrow one. ( after the next tourni I will have even more! )

I may join you Brian - but that will depend on how the salmon are doing on the coast....Moss / Linda Mar...and the weather.

Looks like a nice lake!!! :smt023

I'll try to make it up there on sunday if I can get away.  What do you fish with there?

My buddy rode up the mountain this morning. Said the surface temps were 41-43 along the shore. This storm's timing just sucks. The water would have been perfect for this weekend. Probably going to miss the godo window this year. Next weekend I have a wedding to attend and then its rockcod season.

Bear River Reservoir: Solid population of holdover rainbows were supplemented Monday by a plant by Fish and Game. Trollers and bank anglers are doing well. A monster-sized mackinaw measuring 40 inches and weighing 301/4 pounds was hooked by troller Chris Quimby this week. Unreal. Information: 295-4868

Have you guys ever been to Gerle Creek? It is near Loon lake and it has mostly browns in it.  I know its a pretty small lake I was thinkin it would be a good lake to yak fish.

I'm not sure yet - I'm just tagging along with a friends family camping trip. I'll have my VHF with me / channel 69. I'm almost sure we will be close to the boat ramp.

I'll probably go I just have to run it by my girlfriend first.  Im thinkin about heading up early and getting there about 730 and leaving mid-day or early afternoon.  From my past experiences loon tends to get really windy in the afternoons.

Yea there was a spot we used to go to at the upper end of the lake that I have had good luck at.  It's been a while though.
