Kayak Fishing Couple - Introduction

I have been mainly free diving until last year. 
Decided to get a tandem and introduce fishing to my wife this summer. 
Now she enjoys fishing more than I do.  We have been making a monthly fishing trip to Mendocino coast and catching lings, cabazons, and rock fish.
Start video taping our fishing trips but having many difficulty and she been keep breaking the gopro mount.

Hope to meet many of you guys...

Any other kayak fishing couples?  Specially using Hobie Oasis.

Welcome! I fish with my wife about half of the time. We use two tarpon 140s or, if we are with one or both of our sons, we use a Perception tandem. We don't use the tandem when it is just the two of us because we don't have enough room for our crab pots and other gear. I just bought her a Native Manta Ray Propel so she can keep up with me. Soon I'll have to get a second pedal kayak so I can keep up with her, but don't tell her that

We usually fish out of Doran, HMB, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach. We have been wanting to get in some trips up north but haven't gotten up there yet.

To deploy our four crab pots, I had to make two trips from launch area.  Once to take crab pots and second to get our fishing gear.  Hope to see you and your wife out in ocean.

Worked on East Cliff Drive Bluff Protection several years ago between 32nd and Hook.  Watched several kayak fisherman but didn't try.  Wish I tried while I was working adjacent to the ocean.  Now I have to make 3-4 hours drive to get to a fishing spot.

I’ve never fished with my wife, but I do think that she would be good shark bait.

Nice catch! My girlfriend and I have been going in a hobie tandem. We're new to it but we're catching food and having fun. Based out of SF.
