This trip also caused Andy (Kickin Bass) to upgrade his internet service from dial-up to cable. He couldn't stand waiting for the photo's to load. Welcome to the 80's Andy!

Looks like the seas are much kinder down there. Any time you go somewhere new, at least half the time your there, your trying to just get it figured out. Usually by the time you start getting it figured out, you gotta go.... Looks like you guys had a great time! That whole mother ship concept looks like a blast. WE should start looking into more of that up here with houseboats. ie. Delta stripers in the fall and Shasta in spring. Nice to bring the bed and breakfast along... :smt001

Nice, That's kind of what I'm looking for. I like the way you have the yaks ready to go, like scawfish's trailer.

what do you have as " Saddles " and what are the crossbars you have, if you could be so kind to enlighten.

I'd like to have 2 set's of bars as to have 4 placements, not trying to steal the thread, will you be @ HMB tomarrow?

We (Dad and I) built it from the ground up.  The uprights are removeable in the event that you need to do a dump run, or haul an ATV. I have 2 cross bars, 1.5 OD , and on top I built brackets kinda like you would see on a boat.  I have 2 carpeted 2X4 's for each yak, and they extend under most of the yak.  It holds 2 right now, and all the gear goes underneath.  This winter, I'm gonna build the second tier for additional yaks.  Let me know if you want some pics.

yeah, what they said....great friends, enough talent to finish the business, and a chef to make the Chef happy.......and red hats so he can't miss us!
The calicos were as ubiquitous as blue rockfish but feistier.  I managed a great big stinky baracuda at LJ and Randy got to check Sheephead off of his lifetime list from a kayak.
Love to do it again....but this time I'll bring the fins too.  Thanks for sharing your skill with us Justin.

Finally getting around to posting pics...

Not much to add that hasn't already been said...awesome people, awesome boat, awesome time.
If/when another trip comes up I'd jump at the chance to go again.

Yes please, pics!  Now that you have cable, it will go much faster.  I had started recent trailer thread over here ... http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=8271.0.  Perhaps you can post over there.  Kept waiting for you to pop in, but perhaps you didn't see it.
