Thinking of heading out to muir beach this Saturday. is it to late in the season to troll for some last minute salmon? how is the rockfish/lingcod bite going on there? Or should i just drive north to ocean cove ? Thanks for the input.

It's never too late, especially that close to the gate.  Don't know if you are familiar with the launch, it's quite a haul and can be a little breaky on the launch.  Apparently there is a little reef action on the north point.  When the salmon are there it is supposed to be excellent but that was pretty early in the season.  Haven't heard of any reports from there lately.   :smt006
