There is a perfectly good use as fertilizer. Use about 1/3 of the fish under each corn or squash plant in the garden. No suggestions on storing until planting season. Fight like hell for the first 10-15 seconds, don’t they?
Warning! Retiree; Knows it all and has plenty of time to tell you about it.

The flesh of northern pikeminnows is quite tasty, but it's so bony you go crazy picking the bones out of your mouth.  So most people only try eating northern pikeminnows once. However, pickling is a great way to use pikeminnows.  All the bones disappear, and pickled pikeminnow is quite tasty.

Another option is to use them for bait.  Whole pikeminnow are excellent bait when ice fishing for pike and lake trout, and when chopped up into cut bait they are great for jigging for lake trout.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan
