On 9.15 dave was out with some buddies off La Jolla when he was found in the water facedown and not responding. He was brought onto a buddies kayak and paddled to shore. Dave is in his 20s and it was suspected to be a heart condition that caused this that he was not aware of yet. It does not sound like he is gonna pull out of this one and will be leaving us for good. They are looking for organ donor recipients now and he has been declared brain dead per doctors according to his father. Please pray for Dave's family, this is sad to hear about, cant imagine.

A gofund me has been set up for Dave's family. https://www.gofundme.com/david-petronovich

More details from the kayakers that preformed the rescue as well as Dave's father.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan

Sad to hear, on a lighter note I can think of a lot of worse ways to go then Kayak fishing.
