such a handsome dog, love the colors on his coat.

Huskies are the best. Had one of my own for 15 years.
so sorry for your loss, it hurts bad I know.

Now he's playing and being a dork with hundreds of other beloved dogs on a huge beach/forest/lake somewhere.

you'll see each other again. Just not yet.

Huskies are the best. ...

This!

We had one when I was a kid, and what a fun and crazy beast. We still tell stories about him chasing birds that were hundreds of yards up in the sky (sometimes he'd take off on a dead sprint looking up at the sky, and we couldn't figure out what he was chasing), or playing with the cats by flipping them up in the air, and on and on.

Sorry for your loss.

Thanks to everyone for the support and sharing your stories. Glad to know that I’m not the only one who feels that I lost a best friend.

I think the only people that would say "Its only a dog" have never had a pet.  I certainly would never say that to any one whose lost a family member like that.  Sorry for the loss to your family.  I'm a cat person and have had my share of loss (Mainly from age)

My friend wrote me earlier this year. Simply saying, They live to short of a life and make a great impact on ours. How true.

Truly sorry for your loss of your best friend and companion. It is something you really never get over. Maybe that is a good thing. Just connect two beating hearts. If you believe in it maybe he’ll be waiting for you in that special place.  You

He was actually an Alaskan Malamute.  But yah, hopefully our friends do have a heaven to go to. Thanks again for the support everyone.

Sorry for your loss buddy. I don't think anyone who's ever had a furry friend would ever say "he was just a dog". I dread the day when either of my two move on.
