Same question.

Are there Navionics issues unique to kayak fishing?

I’ve been using the product for years, both the smartphone app and the chip in my lowrance. Either way it’s nice to have a representative on the forum, thanks!

Fishing Addict, I represent Navionics in a “specialized” boating/angling field. There are several specialist on the Navionics team, anything from sailing to catfishing. Navionics wants people that actually do what they specialize in to represent them in the field. Believe it or not, I am a kayak angler, lol.

Spiffy, I had a huge sea turtle scare the crap out of me a few weeks ago while I was redfishing in Florida, so I’m still on the fence about them.

Hi Jason Welcome aboard!

I hope you don’t mind if I jump right in with a question for you.

Do you think we will be able to put a navionics chip in a Garmin someday? I love my Garmin chhartplotter but the navionics charts are a little better detail wise for exploring new reefs and prospecting for new rockfish spots.

I remember reading that Garmin bought Navionics which made me hopeful that the two would interface at some point.

Thanks in advance,
-Eliot
