Any Lowrance gurus know what wrong with my unit?

After pressing the power button on, the "Lowrance Elite" logo comes up and after a few seconds, it goes black/shuts off.

Thought it may be the battery, so i put it straight to a 12v power source; but still foes the same thing.

Unit has only been used 4-5 times; and always cleaned, including Dielectric grease on connectors...

Suggestions???

Off topic, but is there a way to show the current gps location w/out moving the map to a waypoint?

Data overlay should display gps coordinates on your screen. You should also be able to adjust the gps types. This should help.
