The water seems to be a little lower than last week, Chryss and I mostly fussed around in the first slough upstream of the launch.  I saw a couple splashes that looked like LMB taking frogs, but couldn't entice anything on the Zara Spook :(

The wildlife viewing was great, with the normal assortment of critters, plus a family of wood ducks and some gosling's about 5ft from the yak.  we also watched a valley quail drink from the slough for a while and spooked lots of BIG carp and a few bass.

Saw 3 other Yakers while we were there, none fishing.

Intel from boat angler: the fish are starting to show, try rip-rap at dusk...

I think next Tuesday I'll be floating Howe down to Paradise or Disco, I have seen some good spots in that area

Thanks for the report..sorry to hear you didn't hook anything.

There are some nice holes on the drift from Howe to Disco.
The dredger holes are down river from Cal Expo (I80 & RR bridge) to the next set of bridges.
