The knot in the illustration is a modified Albright. In my tuna knot testing I've found the 30 turn bimini loop to a 40 turn albright the strongest probably because of the shock absorption it provides. But a"9 to 5" uni to uni is a close second and easier to tie. The spectra is tied into a bimini first,in lines testing under 30# I would increase the number of turns on the uni's.Check the "Coastside" website they have a good knot section on mono and spectra.
On larger lines (50-200) I use hollow spectra splices with no knots because of the large knot size hitting you guides and fingers is a bad thing. :smt009

I use an albright knot... for me it's very easy to tie and  is supposed to be one of the stronger options.  It is also one of the more low profile knots.

I've never gotten the hang of the uni to uni.

I guess this San Clemente trip will be the true test of my knot tying abilities... can't wait.

Wow! I just tried to tie the albright knot. What a pain in the hand. I need one more arm and hand and it would be easy. I ended up making the loop real long and held it in my mouth. The knot turned out looking good, but I think I'll stick to the uni.
