Great job guys!  You guys are live bait experts!  Just wondering if you guys caught the buts between the pilings or around them?  All the same the butts are prowling for the bait fish in the area.

Most of the hits came drifting live smelt around the pilings.  Attention was needed to keep from snagging the support pillars and downed pilings.  Instead of using the traditional 3-way swivel rig, I found that using a simple 2 oz. egg sinker with a 3 ft flouro leader tangled less.

Ditto on what ChuckE suggested about the drift. I used a lower trap treble with the upper hook through the nose and the treble into the anus with the same bait. Also great set up for Popsicles that you can tie or squid if no live bait available.
