Heard a report from a friend that Rollins Lake near Auburn,  is producing some large Stipers in quantities? Anyone else hearing reports of this nature? If so please post and if so I may go up there next week to check it myself! Frankfishing

I'm going to Rollins Lake for the first time next month. Doing my research as to what fish are there, I came across this site http://www.penresort.com/ . According to them, there aren't stripers in Rollins. Hmmm. Also, the sniffer says it's rainbows, browns, bass, catfish, crappie and bluegill.

You sure your buddy wasn't tellin' you a fish tale?

My sister used to live in Colfax and I have fished rollins a lot never heard of any Stripers but in you fish the upper end where there is current the trout fishing can be great. Best when they relese water from upstream and the current starts ripping. Paddle up as far as you can go then drift night crawlers or toss grubs and spoons.

Mick,

Thanks for the tips. Nothing like reliable inside info. Which upper end are you speaking of? Greenhorn or Bear River?

Never heard of stripers in Rollins, and it's something like 10 miles away as the crow flies from LOP. I've only fished it for Crappie over at Freeloaders Cove, but there are bass and trout and cats in there as well.

Bear River The Water is much colder in that arm. You need to be a little careful when they relese water flow increase pretty fast had to rescue my dog one time when the flow picked up it washed him into the lake and he couldn't swim against it.

Got a report from a friend today about Rollins Lake. He just got back from there.
Said he forgot his main tackle box..dohhh.... but had a quickfish and a flasher and some hooks.
He caught one koke on the flatfish but his girlfriend slayed the trout on the flashers with a night crawler.
I have NEVER heard of stripers in there either.
