I have and electric smoker.  My guess is to set in on low temp. and just experiment, but I sure would give your recipe a try soon :smt003

Pretty similar to the way my grandparents did it but since my brains have turned to shit I can never remember good mix of salt to sugar

The main difference was we put the fish and dry mix in an old flour sack and strung the whole thing up outside over night with a bucket under it

Need to look around to see if I still have the old flour sack which would probably be about a hundred years old by now

I dont catch enough salmon for the smoker but have smoked rockfish and lings using a similar recipe and I love eating it.  I keep dialing back the salt as I store it in the fridge and it doesnt stay around long enough to "preserve"

I also have a couple of Kokes and Maks from Tahoe that I'm thinking might end up in the smoker.
