Went on a hunting trip out of Navarro the past weekend.  Water was nice ~ 25 to 30 foot of vis and little to no swell. We floated out the river dropped a couple of pots and proceeded to paddle to another cove to dive.  I anchored up, and dove for abs first ending up with a decent limit of 9+" abs, then grabbed the pole spear and went looking for some fish.  I ended up with a couple of 3lb blacks, a 30" ling, and a female greenling.  My buddy shot a 6lb black.  wow!  After pulling the pots, I ended up with a couple of keepers, and called it a day.

I forgot to mention that the wind was blowing pretty good, but It was really coming from the North rather than NW, so the wind waves were not to bad by the end of the day.  It wasnt perfect conditions, but very nice compared to what it has been, and even the day before, which had about 15' of vis.

I think you gave that pole spear some good luck.  Wish you were there.

Thanks guys.  I love it when you get home after a trip and you have to decide what to eat first, Crab, Ab, Fish.  If I caught a salmon I might have had a nervous breakdown.  Yes Harold, we must go soon.  Let me know when you get some time off :smt003
