Hey Yakers,

   Anyone going out of HMB on opening weekend for crab? I plan on being out there with my brother. He will be in a Zodiac and me on my Wilderness Radar 115. Can't wait!!!!

At least...

We used to chill on Friday evening, paddle out and set traps at 12:01, chill some more, then harvest that morning.  Don't know how it is these days, but we'll be out in force...

What about fishing for crabs using snares, where is a good spot? Jetty?

I make my own snares and they work great. Might do a combo of my pots and some snare fishing from the Kayak just for fun. I crab snare from the outter jettys at HMB when I get my sons to joins me and do some father son time. Look forward to seeing all is Yakers out there.

Please do not drop off any pots within 200 yards of the jaws.  Keep in mind that pots do move and those ropes could be traffic hazard to boats (and not to mention you will lose your investment).
