Fire burned houses down within 3 houses of my mom's near the corner of San Miguel and Waltzer here in S.R. Took her almost 2 hours to drive to my house just a few blocks away the morning of the fire. There were hundreds of cars trying to get the hell out and huge traffic jams everywhere. My wife and cat bailed out but I decided to stay as did my mom who returned home that same morning when the winds died. At the time she didn't know how close the fire had burned to her house.
Finally got power back a few hours ago and now waiting for the natural gas to be turned back on so that all will be back to normal here. Some co-workers lost their homes so I'll be donating to a fund thru my workplace to help them. I'm really thinking hard how I can protect my home for any possible future fires and will be working to implement some changes soon. Prayers, well wishes, and positive thoughts to all who are struggling now.

So sorry to hear that.  Doesn’t have to be here or anytime soon but talking about it can be a good thing.

I already had severe PTSD symptoms from other crap and haven’t been sleeping after getting stuck in the fire Monday morning.  I am having lots of nightmares and everytime I open my truck the smoke smell triggers some emotions that damn near drop me.

Just remember you are not alone and so many are going to have to live with what they have seen or been through.  Hang in there and I will pray you can get through this in a healthy way.

I made a modest donation last night but our CEO just sent us an email and PayPal donated $100,000. Not a lot but everything helps.

I see a psychologist weekly in Santa Rosa because I have held crap in way to long.  All my records were at her house when she lost everything in one of the fires.  I am f’d up but more concerned with her loss along with everyone else affected.  It all sucks brother but you have more people here that understand what you are going through than you would ever imagine.

If you need anything let me know.

Thanks for asking DG
We are lucky , our neighborhood was spared . The fire was stopped a few blocks away . We have just been removed from the evacuation list last night . We have water , power but no gas
To be honest very happy and relieved but at the same time , feel guilty and ashamed for feeling that way .
We know 14 families including my wife's cousin that have lost everything and the list may grow
As soon as we get settled down , I'll be volunteering .

First morning since Sunday that we saw a sunrise and have blue skies above in east Napa (closest to the Atlas Fire).  Still under an advisory and can see plumes of smoke from what's going on along the western hills though.
