Thanks everyone!

Fished ARW twenty times or more over the last five years and just started getting the shorts this year (thanks for the tips Keith).

Second time out on this kayak and fishing simply with no fish finder, should probably hurry up and try for salmon soon before all the mojo washes off [emoji3].

What bait and rig you using?  Only caught smelt but was nowhere near the rock wall though.

Thanks buddy!

Water was dirty out further but nice and clear up against the wall (where this fish was caught). Easily could have cast to this spot from the jetty but the walk would have put the hurt on the legs next day.

Well done! Congrats

You inspired me to get out for halibut at least one more time this year. I had a couple of hours to spare this morning, paddled out of Richmond to catch the end of the incoming tide. Just me and one commercial guy working the flats, caught eight shakers, and lost what I think was a keeper but never saw em'.

They're still out there!

Hey Soleman,

Eight shakers in a couple of hours is pretty impressive, haven't caught one there yet myself. Been out from Ferry Point before but didn't venture far because I was running solo and am not very familiar with the area. If you decide to go for another last last time at Richmond let me know I'm about 30 minutes away and would love to tag along.

Some halibut stay in the bay year round and even though there are less fish with LA off the bay our chances of catching them may actually have improved [emoji3].
