A friend of mine just bought a yak, and he's interested in buying an all around reel for Norcal waters (RF/Ling/Salmon).

There's an all-purpose reel for anyone depending on budget.

I'd say any of those C3/C4 Abu Garcia reels should be plenty for rf/lings/salmon.
