Hey everybody,  new to the forum and just making introductions.  I've used the sight for a lot of great info in the past for kayak fishing which I just recently got into.  I love it so far.. addicted really.  Always fished from shore and its been great getting on the water and I'm shooting too get more involved.  I live in Napa, California.. and if anybody is in the area or looking for a partner to go out with let me know. I'm a newbie but I got the gear and I'm up for whatever!

Do you fish the Napa river much? I am in Vacaville and would love to start fishing it don't know much about it. Let me know if you would be interested.
Also I hear Hennessey can be fun.

Hennessey is my favorite lake in Napa county and even the surrounding areas.

The late summer/ early fall striper run hasn't started yet in the river. There are tons of undersized stripers right now, the bigger ones should come in from the bay in the next 30-45 days, I hope. The only other thing to fish for in the river is sturgeon and your best bet is to go to the southern part of the river for them.

Hi Ken, Fairfield here. I'm new to kayak fishing also. I've been going out to the port of sacramento last few weeks trying to get dialed in. Looking forward to trying out the napa river as well.

I live in Napa also and have some spots dialed in pretty good on the river if you want to go out one of these days
