Montezuma 4/26 1 Catfish full of roe

Don Danglin and I got a late start at around 1100hrs. So we first fish near the shed with no luck. Don moved on down to the rock wall where he reported getting a few tugs. About this time we were joined by  Uminchu Naoaki and Inseine from the Bodega area.
While talking to Uminchu ( at the rock wall) I reeled in a nice size cat that I just finished filleting out.The cat was full of roe and I am wondering has anyone heard of using catfish roe for bait? Just hate to see it go to waste.
Hey guys it was nice meeting you and thanks for the insight of how some species are tracked Uminchu I really enjoyed our conversation and when I get to that area we'll diiffinately have to hook up.

                   Meow...   "What?... I can't like Roe?" 

   " You trying to say trying to say a Sturgeon is better than me???? "

Too bad you guys did not get to DRIVE some STEEL into soft tissue....i was thinkin bout that place this weekend and from your report I will try something else....was the water still brown?

Insane should chime in on this, but what I was able to decipher from the scienterific talk was the water is devoid of life sustaining nutrients from opportunistics clams that are in montezuma.

The plus is Sturgeon love the clams, but the clams he said strain the water of the stuff that baitfish eat, so less baitfish, stripers just move on...........Danglin

We were driving around to collect the water samples all over delta.  It had been pretty windy, so we weren't gonna fish that day, but we saw the trucks w/ NCKA stickers on it, so we decied to say "hi".

We only had stuff for Delta Bass, and the water was pretty turbid, so I troll around with silver crank bait that rattles.   Main slough was pretty windy & tide were moving.  Carps were jamping all over the place.   I even went into the small slough too but no hit what's so ever, figures...

It was pretty nice lil paddle & very nice to meet w/ Frankfishing & Danglin!

haha...  yeah, we asians eat anything!  I was just talking about this that day with Frank.
Maybe, you should fry them with the mommy...  I know Jim fries lil surf perch babies that came out from the mama's stomach.  Anything is good with fry all right!?  but wait, some fish eggs are poisonous like cabezon eggs.  You probably can use for catfish bait. 

Oh, I forgot to tell you...  When we were leaving a boat pulled up & had a nice sturgeon (around 5 ft).   He told me that his old man hooked up bigger one but spit the hook out right next to their boat.  They told me they were using ghost shrimp...
