Got that FF just the other day, works great, bought it in the West Marine store with the Navionics chip (great deal at $200). Also smaller units like these help the battery last.

Bought the Cabela's battery and charger couple years ago and it's still running strong (sometimes get two six hour days out of it without running out of juice!).

I'm think of jumping on this deal as well! Just not sure if it'll go lower on Labor Day, but might as well pick it up in case it does not.

Just placed my order online. Couldn't pass on that deal after looking at a few FF. It's going to be my first FF. Now, I have to calm down with spending and fly under the wife's radar for a while. It's hard when you're rigging up a new kayak. Smh. Thanks for posting this.

Your welcome man.   I am in the same boat as you are but i cant fly under the radar i just go for it if i want it.  You cant tske it with you spend it and enjoy while  you can.   Like i tell my wife im not working to hoard away money so when i die someone else can enjoy it i work to enjoy the things i can afford while im here.

Been looking around for a new FF since my Garmin striker 4dv died on me after only a year of use.

Anyone know the difference between the Hook 4 and Hook 4x?  Is it just the microSD slot?  Other than those, any other major differences?
