Not sure if this is CA Regs or Safety, maybe both

I am pretty sure this is not an "approved method of take," although the results demonstrate a high efficiency in getting some very large fish. On the other hand, I simply cannot recommend it as a safe way to fish, especially from a kayak, and most certainly not if you have a carbon fiber boat or carbon or metal rods on board:

Flopping around in the middle of the camera shot  One did an almost complete flip when the thing went off.

Flopping around in the middle of the camera shot  One did an almost complete flip when the thing went off.

Wasn't sure what that was but makes sense now if those were fish.  Some stuff works great watching on phones but this wasn't one of them.

Some were probably stumps or "crapagators" knocked loose from the bottom, but the things that kept flopping looked like fish to me.
