Gregor Transom Repair

I took my boat to Weld Master here in Sacramento. The boat had a few other leaky spots and bolt holes needing to be filled as well. If I recall correctly I paid $140 to weld the knee braces in place, repair 4-5 bolt holes, and spot weld a few cracks. I was in an out in about 1.5 hrs.  I filled my boat with a few inches of water and marked any leaky areas with a marker on the bottom. He is really good and well known for welding thin aluminum.

Here is a pic of how I did my boat. I forgot to mention that I added a piece of aluminum c-channel to the bottom for added strength. I use a 15 hp Yamaha 4 stroke which was too heavy for the existing knee braces and transom.. Gregor sent the c-channel  with the replacement knee braces. I think the newer Gregor boats are build like this.
