Has salmon season opened up in the bay yet?  I think it starts July 15 east of carquinez bridge.  No size limit barb ok,trolling I figure.  Never tried the gate or California city, seems kinda hairy with flows and depth, single barbless legal now up to carquinez bridge.  Do not rely on my info.  Gotta know your own rulebook :smt006

I believe you can't used barbed hooks in SF Bay. It changes at some point in the Delta. Has to do with releasing safely accidentally caught coho salmon.

After july 15, east of carquinez bridge is barbed legal, from the gate to the carquinez is barbless :smt006
