The Tides Inn is a NON-SMOKING AREA,

Eric,

A few of us will be getting together to smoke cigars after the event. I will make sure it is in a designated area and far enough away and down wind from the tides and potluck area. We don't want to offend anyone with cigar smoke.

See you soon buddy!

We're all packed up and will leave early am.  I'll make a KFC copycat coleslaw for the pot luck.  See you all soon.

I want to thank the over 50 anglers who showed up for the first annual Open Shelter kayak gathering. What a great group of people. We arose to a beautiful sky, calm winds, and light seas.
The theme of this event was relax and chill, so I was not disappointed when many chose to take their time and launch between 8 and 9am. Many fish were brought to the check in table .... or 3 wheeler as it were.
Local Legend "Lolita" Eric Stockwell showed us that there are still Salmon in the Cove,  and Mr Saufferer pulled a massive 38 in. Lingcod form the depths.  And the end, Mr. Byron Pickle walked away as Angler of the day with 6 species.
Good times were had by all, and we are looking forward to September 15, 2018 and the second annual Open Shelter Kayak Gathering.
See ya there,
;0)

Thank you Eric for showing us that life is good at the Cove. I enjoyed the tournament and it's format of targeting different species.

Rockfishing for me was really good. I caught several lings, blacks, cabs, olives, vermillion, chinas, and gophers.
