Ben, sounds like you did a pretty thorough evaluation, more that I think many people do.  I'm glad you found that right boat for you.  BTW, it's the right boat for me too as I also paddle the P15.   :smt004

Cafecraig - That last photo is a nice setup. Those feet look very familiar! They wouldn't happen to belong to Mooch and his old P15 do they :smt003

Good eyes Ben!  I think you are right about those feet.   When you can start identifying us by our feet, you are definitely locked on to NCKA.  In fact, so much so that I might be worried.  But anyhoo... I'm too wired on chocolate chip cookies to be very concerned, and plus you have only really seen one of my feet.

BTW, an alternative to the RAM tube rodholder for your P15 in the mini-well above your foot could be the Scotty Rodmaster II 351 verion which comes with the 244 flush mount, and use the 259 extender to get the butt end up above the deck.   Would run you about $35 all told.

There is also a threaded mount from Scotty that might fit there and accomodate an extender below a Rodmaster II.   Mooch knows a ton about those things.  Just maybe don't ask him to take off his shoes.

Hey Cafecraig,

Very funny :smt003. No need to worry, I don't have a foot fetish. I recognized the photo from one of Mooch's photo albums he posted. Anyway, I appreciate all the advise. Mooch is planning on having a Kayak rigging day at Aquans in San Carlos soon. Don't have a date yet but I am planning on being there. I might just wait and purchase what I need there and have Mooch provide the guidance in the installation process. That would prettymuch take care of that. All I know is that I am more than ready to hit the water and start reeling. Let me know if you hear when Mooch is going to have the rigging day at Aquans, and if you think of anything else I should be doing. Thanks again - Ben
