Great post and thank you for sharing. Spent hours hiking to the top of Little Miss Agnes in Colorado and getting into pockets where the elk hide, only to scare the one and only elk before I could get the shot that anybody has seen on the entire trip. but then to sit at the top of that Peak and look out over the world is incredibly amazing and I have to be thankful that I could actually have this trip and enjoy my surroundings sometimes it isn't always about the Harvest

Thank you for posting the truth about this part I all go through when I fail at something I expect I am good at, or great at, or take for granted.  It's a humbling moment and a peace, no doubt, to observe the gift that failure, or perceived failure, produces.
