I have a Hobie I-12 and a Hummingbird fish finder used before with my float tube. I like to hear anyone with ideas how to use it with the Hobie. If this one won't work I'd like to hear what other FF will work with inflatable. Have seen some FFs on Amazon (tennis ball size) that float and wirelessly connect with phone. Are these any good?

Thanks in advance!

Send Salty a message.  He is a Hobie inflatable master and might have some tips on how he uses his FF.

I fished this winter in AZ off the Hobie inflatable so I'll be watching this thread to see what you come up with.  I did use my Hobie crate on the back and that was great for carrying stuff and a GoPro.  Would of loved a fish finder!  I wonder if you could use a motor mount from sea eagle across the back and mount the battery and transducer arm on it?   Also I used the sea eagle foot pump for inflation and deflation. It was way easier than that weird pump you get from Hobie.  Anyway lots of smart people on this site when it comes to this stuff.  Anxious to see what they come up with.

myyak8me - I still haven't found a good solution for a fish finder on a Hobie inflatable.

I do have a suggestion for pumping up your boat - an electric pump. I got one on Amazon for about $40 and it works well. You still need to top it off to get it firm with the Hobie pump but just a few strokes are needed. One piece of advice I found for electric pumps is to get one to connect directly to your battery terminals under the hood, and NOT use your cigarette lighter. I was told those that connect with the lighter plug are not strong enough.
